Socialite Saturday

By the end of the week most of us are ready to shed our Michigan sweats and slip into something that makes us feel sexy. Saturday nights are great times to exude your confidence in something that accentuates your positives especially since you spend all week in layers. If your hitting a club a pair of dark skinny denims or liquid leggings (arguably falls biggest fashion trend) paired with sexy heels or ankle booties and a flattering top is a good look. Note that overdressing for an Ann Arbor club is not necessary and you might actually end up looking stupid but underdressing is a sure way to blend in. So find your balance and most importantly find something that looks good on you, because we all know that every style is not for everybody but don't be afraid to step out of the box and create your own style.

- Go ahead and make them envious.

That's A Great Article! A lot of people at clubs and parties DO OVERDRESS! and some UNDER-DRESS if you get what I mean! But what's most important is that you have on an outfit that you feel comfortable in, it makes you feel SEXY & HOT, and is fashionable!

Diddo to The Entertainers comment. That whole, baggy, tall tee style is getting sort of WHACK....but i guess that's "their" style... I encourage all to "TRY SOMETHING NEW"...maybe some straight legged jeans..or jeans that aren't 10 times TOOOOOO BIG.

In Ann Arbor its hard to under dress. Let's be honest the clubs here don't compare to the ones in NYC, MIA, or L.A neither do the people fashion wise. Walking to class I see at least 90% of the girls wearing UGG's and 50% of the boys in sweats. But that's what makes it even more fun to bring creativity to your wardrobe. It's SO easy to stand out here - most of the times it's not even on purpose. The weekend is a great time to outlet your fashion creativity!

-- but your definitely right .. You want to be noticed for good reasons not because of a fashion fau paux!

lol yea ur right.. standing out is easy... I get a few lines cut in my head.. or wear some jeans that fit, with a shirt that FITS... and all of a sudden its Hey look at that guy... his clothes fit lmao Vs. living in NY where u gotta look crazy as hell or be butt naked to stand out, cuz everyone has there own since of STYLE

i know exactly where the author is coming from. during the week my schedule is so hectic that i usually keep my style really simple (you know jeans tees comfortable shoes) as far as the outfits go. but when the work week whines down and the weekend starts up it's time to let my hair down and have some fun and the club is the perfect place to do it. study like a nerd party like a diva that's just how i role.

I really like that look. She looks cute but she is still covered up. I really can't stand when girls go to the club in a skirt and a tank top- when its snowing. Those shoes are hot and I like the vest. I haven't figured out how to pull off the vest look.

The article tells it all. Yes, everything is not for everybody and everybody needs to realize that. So dont overdress thinking that your somebody because you might end up in the party with someone dressed like you. DRESS LIKE YOURSELF NOT WHAT PEOPLE WOULD WANT YOU TO LOOK LIKE. Ann Arbor is cold.

honestly, i'd rather be overdressed than underdressed.
also, fashion is more than just labels and trends. it depends on the creativity of the wearer. you'll look cute(if you can pull it off =D), but how boring is it to look like someone who just came out of W, Bazaar, Vogue, or Nylon?
fashion would remain static if people like ghesquiere, karl, and alber consistently pushed buttons and took risks.
too many times people think fashion = labels upon labels of items found at bergdorf or louis boston.
i digress, but if i'm out and i put in the effort to look good, i will look good, whether i'm the only girl in a dress/heels or not.
